Ahmad Ghurery missing since 2014 arrest in Baghdad

Ahmad Ghurery was abducted by military officers at his home in Baghdad in 2014. Despite his family’s efforts to find him, Ghurery remains missing to date.

In the middle of the night on July 26, 2014, Ahmad Sadiq Ismail Ghurery, a father of three, was arrested at his house in Mahmoudiyah, Baghdad by military officers, who then brought him to an unknown location.

On July 27, 2014, his family enquired about his fate and whereabouts at division No. 17 of Brigade No. 25 of the Iraqi Army, and filed a complaint at the Latifya police station, but to no avail. His relatives enquired about his fate and whereabouts at the Baghdad Airport Prison and the Central Criminal Court at the beginning of August 2016, but they received no information.
