Osama Al Hasani is an Australian-Saudi national who normally resides in the United Kingdom. He was arrested in Tangier, Morocco, on February 8, 2021, where he had just arrived to visit his wife and child. The police arrested him on the basis of a 2016 red notice, issued by INTERPOL upon Saudi Arabia’s request. Al Hasani is wanted by the Saudi authorities in relation to an alleged car theft that took place in 2015, in a case involving six other defendants.

Ms Raissouni and her fiancé were arrested in Rabat on August 31, 2019 by plainclothed police officers. Earlier that day, they had been seen in a gynecology-obstetrics clinic in Agdal district. After the police forced them back to the clinic and arrested the doctor, and two of his assistants, the five of them were then transferred to the headquarters of the Judiciary Police of Rabat for questioning.

Mme Raïssouni et son fiancé ont été interpellés à Rabat le 31 août 2019 par des policiers en civil. Plus tôt ce jour-là, elle avait été examinée au sein d’un cabinet de gynécologie-obstétrique situé dans le quartier de l’Agdal. Les policiers les ont ensuite ramenés de force dans le cabinet où ils ont arrêté le médecin et deux de ses assistants. Les cinq personnes ont ensuite été transférées vers le siège de la police judiciaire de Rabat pour être interrogées.
